The Ardilaun Hotel Galway played host to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) annual Valentine’s Ball this year. The gala evening, which marks the start of Galway’s social calendar, is one of the charities major fundraising events and monies raised go to support breast cancer research carried out by Prof. Michael Kerin and his research team based at NUI Galway.One of the highlights of the night was 'Dial-A-Diamond' where guest had the chance to win a stunning pair of 18k white gold diamond earrings with a total diamond weight of 2 carats, valued at €5,500 donated by Cara Diamonds and the lucky winner was Oonagh Monahan from Sligo. MC for the event was NBCRI director, Sandra Rhatigan and guests attending included Supermacs owner Pat McDonagh with his wife Una. Music came from Gareth Philips and The Wall Street Swing Band.
