MAYO PINK RIBBON APPEAL

Mayo Pink Ribbon Appeal are delighted to announce details of its 100km Leisure Cycle planned for Saturday May 1st 2010. Mayo man Enda Kenny T.D. leader of Fine Gael will don the pink jersey to lead a team of 100+ cyclists in a special fundraising event in support of The National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI). Starting officials for the day will be Mayo’s own Roses of Tralee, Marita Staunton and Luzveminda O Sullivan. Monies raised in the Mayo Pink Ribbon Appeal Cycle will go directly to funding this valuable research. 
The 100km cycle covers a loop of central Mayo towns and villages and is open to all cyclists. Beginning and ending at Days Hotel, Castlebar, the route goes through Balla, Claremorris, Knock, Kiltimagh, Swinford, Foxford, Straide and Ballyvary. Refreshments will be provided en route and the day will finish with dinner and a barbecue in the Traveller’s Friend Hotel, Castlebar.
