NAVAN RELAY RACE

Sunday 9th March proved to be a great success for the relay race
organised by the Athlumney Abbey residents in Navan. The 7 teams from local
groups, defence forces and football teams took the 10.5 mile run in their
stride !! Indeed they even managed to get Damien English TD togged out for
the first leg. This great expression of community spirit was to support a
local resident Ashley to raise funds for the NBCRI. She would like to
particularly thank the Chairman of the AARA Michael Doyle for the military
precision and also the local newspapers, the Weekender, The Meath Chronicle
and The Meath Post who all gave Ashley and the event great coverage and
support
