CYCLE CHALLENGE

INTO THE WEST CYCLE CHALLENGE 2010 - Now in its 16th year, the challenge is to take part in a 300km cycle from Mullingar to Galway and back and raise funds for Breast Cancer Research. Participants are provided with their hotel accommodation, evening dinner and breakfast in Flannery's Hotel, Renmore Road Galway. After the celebration dinner we have music and craic in the hotel. Numbers are restricted to 250 riders in addition to a back up crew of about 25. We have five groups on the road with backup vehicles and a number of Garda motor bikes. Canada Life Into the West Cycle 2009 Team
Some of the 250 strong cyclists who travelled from Mullingar to Galway and back over the weekend in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI). The group were greeted in Eyre Square on Saturday by the Mayor of Galway Declan McDonnell and member s of NBCRI as they reached the half way point of their 180 mile round trip for the charity.
