Galway Bar Staff ‘Shake It Up’ For Breast Cancer Research
Forget your Manhattan’s, Pina Colada’s and Cosmopolitans because, the only cocktail to have in Galway this October bank holiday was a Pink one!
The Galway City Vintners Association as part of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, once again were mixing and shaking 'Pink Cocktails'.
This is the second year of the event with Galway vintners raising in excess of €25,000 for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) over last years October bank holiday weekend.
The delicious cocktail, which costs just € 5, was available from pubs, clubs and hotels throughout Galway city over the bank holiday weekend with 100% of the monies raised going directly to The National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) based at NUI Galway. A non-alcoholic version of the Pink Cocktail was also be available.
As last year, the 'DRINK PINK' promotion received incredible good will and was supported by the Galway City Vintners Association, Smirnoff from Diageo, Advertees, Western Beverage, KonnectMedia, INMEDIA and SNAP Printing Galway.
