SADIE KELLY WALK

Breast Cancer Research Sadie Kelly Walk
Sunday, July 26th, the 4th 'Breast Cancer Research Sadie Kelly Walk' in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) will take place. The event has established itself as a great family fun day with participants travelling from all over the country in memory of Sadie Kelly, a wonderful young mother whose life was taken by cancer in 2005. Sadie organised a number of fundraising events for the NBCRI and this prompted her family and friends to organise this annual walk in her honour.
This year the five mile walk will start from the Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill, travelling along the prom, out by the Cathedral and University, continuing by Westside before returning back to the prom at Blackrock.
Anyone wishing to take part in the event is encouraged to wear something pink if possible, a ribbon, baseball cap, a top etc., and all participants will be given a pink balloon to show their support for breast cancer research.
Registration will be open from 12 noon at the Galway Bay Hotel with the walk commencing at 1pm sharp.
Sponsorship cards are available at all Elvery Sports shops.
