The National Breast Cancer Research Institute
The National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) is a national charity that funds breast cancer research at NUI, Galway.
The research team, directed by Professor Michael Kerin, and in collaboration with universities and hospitals across the globe, focuses on the development and improvement of diagnostic techniques and treatment strategies to drive real and measurable improvement in clinical outcomes for breast cancer patients. In Ireland, one in ten women will develop breast cancer during their lifetime.
